“Your Voice in Ellis County”

Dear Fellow Ellis County Citizens:

This is our home - where we live, where we raise our families, where we shop and dine and get our cars worked on. This is our home - where our children are educated - in public schools, private schools, home schools, and in colleges. This is our home - where we go to church, where we picnic, ride our bikes, go bowling, listen to music, go to the theater. This is our home - where we enjoy local festivals, visits with friends, and school athletics.

Everything that happens in County government affects you and your family. Make your voice heard by casting your vote for Kelly Kovar for Ellis County Judge on March 2. You have the power to change Ellis County. I will be a voice for principled government; a voice for liberty. Are you concerned about limiting government’s power? Do you want to see property rights secured? Do you want to know exactly how your tax money is being spent, and more importantly, have a voice in the decisions to spend it? Kelly Kovar is Your Voice in Ellis County.

I have over 20 years of business experience, have earned a B.A. from the University of North Texas in Political Science and have been an active Reagan Republican for my entire adult life. Over the last five years, as a local editor and writer, I have traveled across Ellis County and listened to the stories of hundreds of Ellis County residents. Their stories of faith and perseverance, of family values and of overcoming obstacles, of making a home for themselves in a county they have chosen to love or of continuing a tradition of living in Ellis County passed down for generations, have inspired me. In my first job out of college, many years ago, I worked for a company which provided a service to independent businesses of all sizes. Some were quite large and influential in my community. Some were very small, perhaps only a man and his wife or his son. My boss told me, “Treat the small business owner with the same respect and with the same concern for meeting his needs, as the large or influential company owner. That small business means as much to that man or woman, as the large conglomerate does to an executive of a large company.” It was a lesson well-taught and well-learned. Your vote for Kelly Kovar for Ellis County Judge will give you a voice in Ellis County.
